Encore Surgery Center is proud to serve the Ennis community with compassionate and expert care from our highly-qualified physicians and staff. We strive to create an atmosphere that is both attentive and inviting so you and your family can have a stress-free experience when it comes to your procedure.

Here at Encore, we specialize in the following surgical procedures:

Anesthesiology: Our expertly-trained anesthesiologists evaluate, monitor and supervise your care before, during and after surgery by administering just the right amount of anesthesia as it relates to your physical needs, level of sensitivity and time required to successfully complete the procedure. This will ensure no unnecessary discomfort is experience by you at any point during your stay with us.

Your anesthesiologist will meet with you prior to the procedure to discuss your treatment and alleviate any concerns you may have, be with you every step of the way during your procedure and ensure your level of comfort once your procedure has been completed.

General Surgery: General surgery includes a broad range of surgical procedures centered predominantly around the soft tissue areas of the body. This can include anything from skin lesions and cysts, to colectomies and procedures including the bowel, liver and gallbladder.

Most commonly, it focuses on abdominal contents including esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, appendix and bile ducts – as well as the thyroid gland in cases that require it.

Other specialties under this category include:

  • Gynecology
  • Ophthalmology
  • Oral & Maxillofacial surgery
  • Plastic, Cosmetic and Reconstructive
  • Urology

Orthopedic Surgery: Orthopedic surgery includes any diagnostic or proactive procedure used to treat conditions revolving around the musculoskeletal system. This includes everything from broken bones to joint replacement in the following major areas:

  • Spine
  • Hand
  • Hip and knee
  • Foot and ankle
  • Shoulder and Elbow

Arthroscopy, meniscectomy, decompression and release techniques are some of the main treatment modalities employed within this subset of surgical procedures.

Otorhinolaryngology (ENT): A surgical subspecialty within medicine that deals with the treatment of conditions revolving around the head and neck, this branch of medicine can also commonly be referred to as ear, nose and throat or ENT.

Procedures under this subspecialty will include diseases of the external, middle and inner ear, the nose, oral cavity, neck (including thyroid) and facial structures, and can be preventative, diagnostic or revolve around treatment and chronic care.

Pain Management: Pain management procedures utilize image-guided injections or nerve blocks for the purpose of pain relief, with the goal of returning you back to your normal activity and quality of life.

  • Corticosteroid injections: Also commonly referred to as steroid injections, this treatment modality uses precise-placement technology to inject anti-inflammatory medicines directly into the problem areas to treat a range of symptoms and conditions. This includes:
    • Joint pain
    • Arthritis
    • Sciatica
    • Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBS)
  • Nerve blocks: Used most commonly for pain relief due to inflammatory conditions within the body that are creating compression around one or more of the associated nerves, these injections are very effective at blocking pain signals from specific nerve groupings.

And both of these treatment modalities may also be used in a more diagnostic format, in order to give additional knowledge about your condition and find the source of your pain.
